Katina originally from  New York, is a middle-eastern dancer and instructor who now lives in Palm Beach County, Florida. Her dance training began in New York at a young age, where she started with ballet, jazz and modern dance, later moving to Florida where she began taking belly dance classes (her true dance passion). Katina has over twenty years of dance experience behind her and hopes to continue for years to come.

In her early dancing career she has worked with world-renowned contemporary choreographers such as Pilobolus, Sarah Skaggs and Elise Monte-Brown (all based out of New York City) and she was also asked to perform in a choreography entitled Passages: Women to Women, which was choreographed by Anna Preston (based out of South Florida) and presented at the Miami City Ballet. Katina has studied bellydance under Bellydance mentors Ansuya, Hindy and has also taken classes or workshops with  Nathalie(FL), Jillina(CA), Sonia,Virginia(FL),Suhaila(CA), Yousry Sharif, Francesca(FL), Maria Jammal(Fl), Hadia(Canada), Bozenka(Fl),Raqia Hassan(Egypt) and Randa Kamel(Egypt).

Katina specializes in American Cabaret belly dance (which allows her to fuse in her other styles of dance), as well as Egyptian Style belly dance. She has a strong sense of rhythm and great musicality, but what shines most in her dance is her passion for movement and expression. Katina also plays the zills and dances with the cane,veil,sword and wings of isis.

Katina can be seen performing throughout South Florida from Jupiter to Coral Gables.  Katina is available to dance at your next party or special event and can currently be seen performing at Taverna Opa @ Cityplace in West Palm Beach, Florida and the Pita Grille in Juno Beach Florida. For more information or questions please call Katina at 561.906.8919 or email katempressdivine@yahoo.com .
